Adult ADHD

Adult ADHD

Every time I start making progress on this project someone stops by my desk, and I get distracted.  I can’t focus sitting in this cubicle.  It’s too busy. It’s too noisy.

What time is it?  Oh no, I’m late again.

I have to go home and tell my wife I didn’t get the promotion.  I missed an important deadline, and the boss is really mad.  I’m such a disappointment.

My husband keeps telling me I’m not paying attention.  I lose the thread of the conversation.  Sometimes my head feels like Times Square it’s so busy.

Do your thoughts bounce around in your head like a pinball bouncing off the bumpers?  Or is your head all muzzy and fuzzy and it’s hard to make it through the fog?  Do you have trouble focusing on the one white ping pong ball bouncing in your head because all the others are pretty, bedazzled and bejeweled?

Are you often late because you thought you had more time?  Did you forget what your wife asked you to get at the market for the hundredth time?  Do you fall down the rabbit hole when you are really interested in something on the Internet following one link after another until you can’t get out of the black hole for hours?

This is a picture of an adult with ADHD.  No, it isn’t something one outgrows.  It just effects one differently.

Having ADHD as an adult is challenging in almost every aspect of life.  It steals your self-confidence and interferes with your quality of life and the quality of your relationships.

Sometimes ADHD is your superpower and sometimes it’s your dragon off-leash, wreaking havoc in your life.  I understand.  You want to be more; you want to be better.  You try really hard, REALLY hard, but you can’t seem to follow through.  I understand.

Well, guess what.  I can help.  I have an amazing number of tools, skills and strategies to help you be as successful as you deserve to be, as you desire.
